The HSA is the national body in Ireland with responsibility for occupational health and safety. They had a problem. In the run up to public holidays employers were noticing standards would slip and incidents would rise. We developed a creative platform that allowed the HSA and employers to remind staff about the importance of health and safety (without being buzzkills!)
YOLO was being used as a reason to throw caution to the wind! We wanted to remind people that if you only live once, then you actually need to be cautious. We found that the Christmas period was especially incident-heavy, so we focused on the Christmas party period to launch.
Press executions, designed to look like safety advisory messages, can be cut out and displayed in the workplace during the Christmas period.
Print, OOH and digital drive the public to yolosafety.ie where they can learn more and interact with the campaign.
Our site was a mixture of tongue-in-cheek parody and genuine information. Buy our safety products, download posters, watch and share our video content.
We created an entire suite of content around each ‘safety product’, allowing us to speak about genuine issues, using a more light-hearted tone.
The Decibelles, a troop of carol singers decked out in safety gear, will spread our message during the run-up to Christmas.
